Indian Railways has announced the launch of the Vande Bharat Express train on the Jammu Tawi–New Delhi route from October 15, 2026. This semi-high speed train will cover the 586-km journey in approximately 6 hours 45 minutes, significantly reducing travel time from the current 8.5 hours.
The Vande Bharat Express on the Jammu route will feature Executive Chair Car and Chair Car seating. The train will have all modern amenities including Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS-based passenger information system, CCTV cameras, and bio-vacuum toilets.
Tentative Train Schedule:
• Jammu Tawi Departure: 06:00 AM
• Pathankot: 07:20 AM
• Ludhiana: 09:15 AM
• New Delhi Arrival: 12:45 PM
• Return from Delhi: 04:00 PM
Fare Structure (Approx):
• Chair Car (CC): ₹1,050
• Executive Chair Car (EC): ₹2,100
• Children (below 12): 50% discount
Bookings for the Vande Bharat Express Jammu-Delhi route will open on IRCTC from October 8, 2026. The train is expected to operate 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday). Exact schedule will be confirmed by Railways.
