The Central Library, University of Jammu, will remain open on Sundays from October 5 to November 30, 2026, to facilitate students in their examination preparation. The library will be accessible from 9 AM to 6 PM on Sundays during this period.
The Central Library houses over 3.5 lakh books, 450+ print journals, and provides access to 50,000+ e-journals and e-books through the INFLIBNET N-List programme. Students can borrow up to 4 books simultaneously using their library card.
The digital resource section on the 2nd floor will also remain operational on Sundays. Students can access JSTOR, Scopus, Web of Science, Shodhganga, and other academic databases free of charge.
Students who do not have library membership can apply for a temporary library pass from the circulation desk on any working day. A valid university ID card is required.
The librarian’s notice board and the university website will carry regular updates about library timings and any changes in schedule.
