The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced a mega recruitment drive for Grade IV posts in various government departments. A total of 8,575 vacancies have been notified for posts including Peon, Chowkidar, Helper, Sweeper, Cook, and other ministerial posts.
This is one of the largest recruitment drives in J&K history and is expected to provide employment to thousands of youth across all 20 districts of the union territory. The Board has confirmed that recruitment will be done through a written test and document verification.
Eligibility:
• Age: 18-40 years as on January 1, 2026
• Education: Matriculation (10th) from a recognized board
• Domicile: J&K domicile certificate mandatory
• Physical Standards: As per post requirements

• Jammu: 1,245
• Srinagar: 1,180
• Baramulla: 620
• Anantnag: 540
• Udhampur: 385
• Other districts: 4,605
