The University of Jammu has released a recruitment notification for 45 regular posts of Assistant Professor in various academic departments. The recruitment is being conducted as per UGC regulations and University of Jammu Act provisions.
Vacancies are available in departments including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, English, History, Law, Economics, MBA, and Education. Detailed department-wise vacancy list is available on the official JU website.
Eligibility:
• Ph.D. from a UGC-recognized university (mandatory for all posts)
• NET/SLET (may be relaxed for Ph.D. holders with published research)
• Minimum 55% marks at both UG and PG levels
• Age limit: Maximum 37 years (as per J&K Service Rules)
Selection will be through a Selection Committee comprising the Vice-Chancellor (Chairman), subject experts, UGC nominee, and University representatives. The committee will evaluate candidates on academic record (40%), research output (30%), and interview (30%).
