The University of Jammu has released the Academic Calendar for the session 2026-27. The calendar covers all important dates for the commencement of classes, semester examinations, internal assessments, holidays, and university events for the upcoming academic year.
Key Dates in JU Academic Calendar 2026-27:
• Classes Begin (Odd Semester): September 1, 2026
• Internal Assessment-1: October 1–10, 2026
• Internal Assessment-2: November 1–10, 2026
• Semester Exams Begin: December 1, 2026
• Winter Break: December 25–January 5
• Even Semester Begins: January 10, 2027
The academic calendar also specifies that students need a minimum 75% attendance to be eligible for semester examinations. Students falling below 65% attendance may apply for condonation with valid medical or other reasons.
Students enrolled in CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) courses should take note of the elective course registration dates. Registration for electives for the 3rd, 5th, and 7th semester students opens on September 10, 2026.
