The University of Jammu has announced that DigiLocker documents will now be accepted as valid proof for the 2026-27 admissions process. Students no longer need to carry physical photocopies of documents like Class 10 and 12 certificates, Aadhar card, and income certificates.
DigiLocker is the Government of India’s digital document wallet available at digilocker.gov.in or via the DigiLocker mobile app. All CBSE, JKBOSE, and most state board mark sheets are now digitally available on DigiLocker within hours of result declaration.
Documents Available on DigiLocker:
• Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets (JKBOSE, CBSE, ICSE)
• Aadhaar Card
• Driving Licence
• Income Certificates (J&K Revenue Dept)
• Caste/Category Certificates
• Degree Certificates (for universities integrated with DigiLocker)
How to Access DigiLocker:
1. Visit digilocker.gov.in and sign up with Aadhaar-linked mobile number
2. Verify with OTP
3. Search for your documents by organization name
4. Download or share via secure link
For JU admissions, students must share their DigiLocker documents via the secure sharing link (not screenshot) at the time of document verification. The university will directly verify documents through the government’s DigiLocker API.
