The University of Jammu has uploaded the revised syllabi for B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com programs for the academic session 2026-27, revised as per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). Students can download subject-wise syllabi from the JU official website.
The NEP-revised syllabus introduces significant changes including more elective options, skill-based courses, internship components, and a research project in the 4th year. The Credit framework has also been aligned with the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) system.
Key Changes in NEP Syllabus 2026-27:
• 4-year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com with Honours option
• Minimum 40 credits of Major courses per year
• 8 credits for Multidisciplinary courses
• 4 credits for Skill Enhancement Course (SEC) per semester
• Ability Enhancement Course (AEC) in communication skills
All affiliated colleges must follow the JU syllabus. Students are advised to download the syllabus for their specific program from the official JU website under the “Academics > Syllabi” section. A printed copy is also available at the university publication counter.
