The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has renewed the A+ accreditation for the University of Jammu after a comprehensive peer review process. The university scored 3.47 on a 4-point scale, making it one of the highest-ranked universities in the J&K region.
The NAAC assessment covered seven key criteria: Curricular Aspects, Teaching-Learning & Evaluation, Research Innovation & Extension, Infrastructure & Learning Resources, Student Support & Progression, Governance & Leadership, and Institutional Values.
The accreditation is significant for students as it means their degree from JU will carry high credibility in the job market and for higher studies. A+ accredited universities also receive additional central government grants and are prioritized for various schemes.
