SRINAGAR / JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has published an extensive notification for Graduate Level Recruitment 2026, advertising 1,850 vacancies across administrative, finance, revenue, and rural development departments. This recruitment cycle represents one of the largest career opportunities announced for educated youth in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
The recruitment drive covers key district cadre, divisional cadre, and UT cadre posts including Junior Assistants, Sub-Inspectors, Panchayat Secretaries, and Assistant Store Keepers. Applications will be invited through the official online recruitment portal (SSB JK) with computer-based testing (CBT) scheduled across divisional centers.

Eligibility Criteria & Domicile Conditions
- Domicile Requirement: The candidate must be a Domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir issued in terms of the Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rules, 2020.
- Educational Qualifications: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized UGC-accredited University. For Junior Assistant posts, a minimum computer typing speed of 35 words per minute on a computer keyboard with 90% accuracy is mandatory.
- Age Limit (as on Jan 1, 2026):
- Open Merit (OM): 18 to 40 years.
- SC / ST / RBA / EWS / ALC / OSC: 18 to 43 years.
- Physically Challenged (PwD): 18 to 42 years.
- Ex-Servicemen: 18 to 48 years.
Examination Pattern and Selection Scheme
Selection will be determined through a single-stage Computer Based Written Test (CBT) comprising 120 multiple-choice questions (120 marks, 2 hours duration) covering General English, General Knowledge with special reference to J&K UT, Basic Mathematics, General Reasoning, and Basic Computer Concepts. Negative marking of 0.25 marks will apply for every wrong response.
