As higher education institutions transition to flexible curricula under the National Education Policy, the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) serves as a digital repository of every credit earned by a learner throughout their academic journey.
Why Is an ABC ID Mandatory?
Examination wings now map semester grades directly to a student’s unique 12-digit ABC ID. This prevents transcript tampering and enables seamless mobility between accredited institutions.
Credit Validity: Earned credits remain valid for up to seven years for programme continuation.
Inter-Disciplinary Flexibility: Learners can combine core departmental courses with approved skill and research modules.
Instant Verification: Employers and postgraduate admissions committees can verify marksheets instantly.
