The 2023 Telangana TET Notification shows that the exam is conducted in two levels. Candidates who intend to teach from class 1 to class 5 must qualify for TSTET Paper 1. For teaching class 6 to class 8, they need to qualify for TSTET Paper 2. If someone wishes to teach from class 1 to class 8, they must appear for both papers as per the Telangana TET notification 2023. Previously, the validity of the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test certificate was limited to 7 years. However, the certificate’s validity has been extended to a lifetime.

The TSTET exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and each paper is of 150 marks. The duration of the exam is 2.5 hours. The qualifying marks for the TSTET exam is 60 per cent or more for general category candidates and 50 per cent or more for SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled candidates.
Each question in the TSTET exam carries one mark, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates must score at least 60% marks (i.e., 90 out of 150 marks) to qualify in the TSTET exam.
