Eligibility Criteria for NSP Scholarship 2023-24
NSP Pre-Matric Scholarship
- Eligibility- Students who have earned more than 50% of the possible points in their previous final exam and whose parents’ or guardians’ annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 1 lakh will be eligible to receive scholarships.
- Scope- The scholarship will be given to students in classes I through X attending government or private schools in India.
- Scholarships will be awarded to minority community students enrolled in Classes I through X.
NSP Post Matric Scholarship
- Eligibility- Scholarships will be given to students who have completed a prior final exam with more than 50% of the possible points or a comparable grade and whose parents’ or guardians’ total yearly income does not exceed Rs. 2.00 lakh.
- Scope- The scholarship must be used to study in an Indian higher secondary school, college, or university, whether a government or private institution. It will also include grades XI and XII technical and vocational courses, including polytechnics, at Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centers connected to the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
- Students enrolled in Classes XI and XII, including this level of technical and vocational courses like Polytechnics, ITIs, and other courses, would be eligible for scholarships.

Required Documents for NSP Scholarship
Required Documents NSP Scholarship: Students must provide specific papers in order to complete the online scholarship application procedure on NSP. However, students do not need to upload documents if their scholarship costs less than INR 50,000. The copies of the documents must be turned in to the appropriate school, college, or institution. The following documents are to be retained by the students for any additional scholarships:

How to Apply For NSP Scholarship
Candidates who meet the requirements can apply online for the NSP Scholarship by doing the following:
Step 1: Searching for the Institute
- Go to scholarships.gov.in, the National Scholarship Portal’s home page.
- Select “Search for Institute” from the menu.
- To obtain the institution list, fill out the necessary information.
- By choosing this link, candidates can ask their institutions to register on the portal if they are not enrolled.
Step 2: Register with National Scholarship Portal (NSP)
- All new users must go to the National Scholarship Portal’s home page to register.
- Select “New Registration.”
- It will load a page with the NSP Guidelines for Registration.
- Examine the guidelines thoroughly.
- To continue, click “Continue.”
- Complete all necessary fields.
- Select “Register.”
- A student application ID and password will be sent to the registered mobile number you provided.
Step 3: Logging in with National Scholarship Portal
- To begin applying for a scholarship, click the login button.
- On your registered telephone, enter the application ID and password that you received.
Step 4: Change the password (A mandatory step)
- After logging in successfully, you will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number.
- Check the OTP.
- A link to update the password page will appear.
- After changing the password, carry on.
Step 5: Enter the Dashboard of NSP
- After changing the password, you will be taken to the applicant’s dashboard page.
- To begin the application process, click “Application Form.”
- Complete all registration, academic, and personal information fields.
- Select “Save & Continue.”
- Include contact information, scheme specifics, and any required document uploads.
- To ensure that your provided data is valid, click “Save as Draft.”
- After verification, select “Final Submit.
